Erika started her wellness journey in October 2014 with a goal to lose 100 lbs. It took her 2 years to lose the weight. She accomplished her goal by eating portion-controlled meals, walking, and cycling on a stationary bike. Her wellness journey has led her to earn several fitness certifications. In 2018, her hips started to bother her which guided her to the healing power of yoga.
Yoga brought a new awareness to Erika’s body. She found stretching, lengthening, and balancing her muscles during yoga brought relief of pain, tension, and tightness within her body.
Erika started meditating in 2020 as a holistic tool to relieve anxiety and stress. During her Yoga Teacher Training at Darling Yoga, she discovered the gift of offering soul soothing meditations. She paints pictures with her words that becomes etched into your sub-conscious mind while inducing relaxation in the body.
Erika is dedicated to sharing with others the power of moving energy through the body and mind with intentional meditation, pranayama (Breathe work), and relaxing asanas. Meditation and Yoga has provided her with holistic tools to face the lessons in life, on and off the mat.
