Our Story

We are Emily and Sarah, sisters, and co-owners of Darling Yoga. We started practicing yoga together after our mom took us to our first yoga class in our young teens. Emily went on to apprentice and teach yoga when she was still in high school and for many years taught at studios and health clubs around the Kansas City area. Her intuitive and eclectic approach to teaching attracted students of all ages and backgrounds. In 2007, we embarked on the journey to build a studio and with great help from family and friends, we opened in 2007. Our goal was to offer a studio to attract people of all ages, fitness levels, and lifestyles to yoga. To provide a welcoming and non-competitive environment. A place that would feel like home. And 10+ years later, our mission remains pretty much the same. Except now we get to do it with the help of our beautiful teaching staff and our wonderful community of students, whom we learn from every day. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the opportunity to do what we love and to share love through yoga.
